Low Loss Hollow-Core Connecting-Circle Negative-Curvature Fibres

Hollow-core negative-curvature fibres have been the focus of current research, but how to reduce loss hollow-core is a serious problem. This paper proposes new structure fibres, that numerically simulated using finite-element method, and compared with simulation results conjoined-tube negative curvature (CTNCFs) nested anti-resonant nodeless (NANFs). The show that, LP01 mode can reach 0.003694 dB/km transmission wavelength 1.06 μm, LP11 be as low 0.28423 dB/km, bending 0.4405 radius 5 cm μm. reduced by an order magnitude CTNCFs NANFs.

Spectral attenuation limits of silica hollow core negative curvature fiber.

In this paper we discuss the limits of attenuation of silica hollow core negative curvature fibers in the wavelength range from 800 nm up to 4.5 µm. Both numerical and experimental results are presented and show good agreement. A minimum attenuation of 24.4 dB/km was measured at around 2400 nm wavelength, while 85 dB/km was measured at 4000 nm.
